WOW!

I just read the Davinci Code. Yes I know I'm a little behind. Every one and their dog has read this book by now. For some reason I was resistant. Imagining it to be a boring read. Full of dry ,dull information.
I was so wrong.
I have done some self education on the topic of pagan beliefs and the churches successful attempts to stomp out goddess worship in all forms. I've found the subject quite fascinating but had never delved to the depths that Dan Brown obviously went to research this incredible book. The thrilling quest for the Grail was wonderful and kept the pages turning but what I really love was the truth behind the fiction and the obvious love of the divine feminine. My mother unknowingly passed the belief of a female strength on to me and I have always felt a connection to that divine feminine as a result of her teaching. I am far from a feminist believing instead in an equality that is realistic and does not discount the strengths born in both sexes. I believe we can compliment each other in such a powerful way. Perhaps that belief is what our world is missing. We do not have to conquer the opposite sex, instead we must hold each other in reverence for all we bring to the world. I can not imagine what a world we could have if all cultures, all religions would allow this to happen. What kind of families we would have if only we truly believed that in our daily lives.
Thank you Dan Brown for writing such a beautiful book. It will remain on my keeper shelf for a lifetime.
